Leeds used this training kit during the 1994-95 season. The kit is made of a thick cotton and carries the same asics logo and club badge as the shirts from the same period.
The shorts were worn by Leeds favourites David Barry and Gary McAllister, the jumper was worn by number 13, goalkeeper Mark Beeney. The kit has been heavily used, the Thistle Hotels sponsor on the jumper is incomplete and the shorts carry quite a few sewn repairs, the draw string is also missing on Batty’s pair.
The kit was given to van drivers who had helped ferry the kit around at the end of the season.
The 1993/94 season saw Leeds go through a period of resurgence following the disappointment of the season before. The squad changed with the departure of some of the title winners and the introduction of players like then record signing Brian Deane, David White and future Leeds manager David O’Leary. It also saw some of Leeds’ FA Youth Cup winners promoted to the senior squad.
Leeds had a good campaign and finished 5th in the table.
